Yes I know its been a while since I last posted a card, but I have been very busy, Quads + 1 can be hectic. Anywho, here is a birthday card I created, I was inspired by THIS card that was created using My Digital Studio (118108). I recreated the card using the candle image from the clear-mount stamp set, Party This Way (120609) and the Billboard Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die (114510) for the letters. The Classic inks used on the candle image are: Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Night of Navy and Elegant Eggplant. Since the candle is somewhat small and its the only stamped image on the card, I would use the Stampin Spots or the Stampin' Write Markers to make it convenient when coloring the image. To finish the card off, I added some Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (109052) and Dazzling Diamonds (102023) applied with a 2-Way Glue Pen (100425).

Good Day, Stampers! Today's share is once again my fav, the Santa image from the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set (1211321 clear mount) and a Tutorial showing you how I made some of the elements on the card and the measurements. Today I decided to make a 5" square card. For the Real Red base, you will need your Real Red cardstock to measure 5"x10" and then score at 5" and fold in half with a Bone Folder. I added a piece of Candy Cane Christmas DSP (120809) that measures 4 3/4" square and is wrapped with a Satin Real Red Ribbon (117286) bow. The white cardstock with the Santa image measures 3 1/4" square.

For the focal point, you will need a piece of Real Red cardstock that measures 3 13/16" square, the Scallop Trim Border punch (118402) and the Scallop Trim Corner punch(118870).

Hey Stampers,

It's still World Card Making Day and I have been busy today in my studio. Here is another card using the Santa image from the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set. This is one stamp set that should be on every one's "To Buy List" for the Holiday season. Hopefully I'll get around to using the other 5 images in the set, but right now I am stuck on Santa.

In this card I used the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper for my focal point on the base of Real Red cardstock and I also paper pieced the same DSP on Santa's Hat. Cherry Cobbler is the color of the red dots on the DSP but the dots are so small that you can't tell if its Real Red or Cherry Cobbler, so I chose to use Real Red for my card base and the scallop rectangle (nestabilities) . I also used a 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds on the brim and ball of the Santa hat. To finish off the card I tied a bow using Real Red Satin Ribbon and an Old Olive button and some ivory colored thread. To color Santa's face I used a Copic marker, E25 Caribe Cocoa.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it and I hope I have inspired someone today. Thanks for stopping by!

Mommie2Quadshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06296563551307680329noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-149137490209342583.post-4202311750428127572010-10-02T19:33:00.000-05:002010-10-02T19:33:15.527-05:00Splitcoaststampers Challenge 300 (SC300) Jolly Old Saint Nick

Isn't He Fabulous!?! I just love this Santa image from the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set from Stampin' Up! This is a six image stamp set that is in Stampin' Up! 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog. If you would like to order this stamp set, please click HERE and order anytime from my website.

To dress Him up a bit, I used a 2-Way Glue Pen and then applied some Dazzling Diamonds to make Santa sparkle. Also used the Designer Series Paper, Candy Cane Christmas which is also featured in the 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog as well as the Northern Frost Decorative Sizzlet Strip to create the cute little Baha Blue snowflake. I stamped the Merry Christmas image from the Delightful Decorations stamp set, punched it out with our 3/4" Circle Punch and used Dimensionals to adhere the snowflake to the card. To trim out the card I used Real Red cardstock.

To color my image I used a Copic marker (E25 Caribe Cocoa) on Santa's face and Copic marker R29 (Lipstick Red) on Santa's hat. Yes, I know that these are not Stampin' Up! products, but in my defense, Stampin' Up! does not make a skin tone marker that represents my skin tone, so I turned to Copic.

This card is also my submission on Splitcoaststampers for this week's sketch challenge, SC300. If you want to play along go to www.splitcoaststampers.com and submit your card.
I can't help myself, I love to make Birthday Cards and the smiles on the recipient's face is priceless. This card was inspired by Andrea Walford. I changed the colors used and the stamp sets used. I made the clouds by using a cloud template provided for free by a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Lianne Carper, you can obtain the template here. I used an inexpensive transparency sheet purchased from my local office supply store, traced the clouds using a permanent marker, cut out the cloud shapes with my paper snips, adhered the clouds to my Whisper White cardstock using temporary adhesive and sponged the Tempting Turquoise ink over the transparency cloud shapes.

For the balloons, I stamped the balloon image from the stamp set Crazy for Cupcakes in Basic Black Ink and then covered the balloon image leaving only the balloon string. I stamped the balloon image from the stamp set Party This Way in Versamark Ink on Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Delightful Daffodil cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then used my paper snips to cut out the images and used double stacked Dimensionals to "pop" the balloons off the card. Well if not, you are missing a lot. In fact, when I saw the magazine cover I immediately knew I had caught a "CASE". I absolutely love this card!!!! Of course, all items used are Stampin' Up! and one of the stamp sets used is actually a Level 3 Hostess set, Playful Pieces.

The banner on the card was created using the Playful Pieces stamp set by stamping the triangle shape in the same color ink as the cardstock and cut out using paper snips. The shapes were then attached to the hemp twine with mini glue dots. The large scallop circle is from the Pennant Die (113483). I created the "happy birthday" tag by centering the point of the 1 1/4" square punch in the center of the cardstock to create the "v" on the end.

Let me know if you have any questions and as always, thanks for stopping by and have a Stampin' Good Day!!

Supplies Used are all Stampin' Up!:
Cardstock and Ink
Pumpkin Pie (105117, 105216)
Real Red (102482, 103133)
Daffodil Delight (119683, 119667)
Tempting Turquoise (102067, 100814)
Pacific Point (111350, 111837)
Basic Black Ink(101179)
Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (100082)
Chocolate Chip cardstock (102128 hair)
Whisper White cardstock (100730)
Creamy Carmel cardstock (retired--face)
uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (105021 white)
Island Oasis DSP (Hat) is currently available in the Summer Mini Catalog (117173)

To purchase any of the supplies used on this card please hop on over to my Stampin' Up! website to make your purchase: http://mommie2quads.stampinup.net Mommie2Quadshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06296563551307680329noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-149137490209342583.post-8297651381262468042010-07-20T18:03:00.004-05:002010-07-20T18:44:08.881-05:00A Lovely Thank You<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 226px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNBFwosSig5LMtdh-tNGY-jy9WDVN6ncf4ZDApGSqw2EC8Xkr4HyvyVKDL9czhM6o-dY8aa4KEHbeHsd4PgntOTT1-hQfEQtuc4KFKOZAfNaBSf8EIMGNtHhLbOMTuOhM_GtvhXLMPWJM/s320/IMG_5459+Thank+You+Flowers.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5496138303505479250" />
Hi Stampers,

Here is a card I created for a Friend that needed a Thank You card. Before I go any further, I want to dedicate today's post to my Loving Husband, Ron.

Ron is my High School Sweetheart. We dated for 10 years prior to getting married and he made me the happiest woman in the world the day we married. We have been happily married now for 13 years. Don't get me wrong, not all of those 13 years have been blissful, I mean, what relationship doesn't have its ups and downs. But throughout all of the years that we have been together the one thing in our relationship that has been a constant is, He Loves Me, He Cherishes Me and He always has my Best Interest in his heart.

We have 5 wonderful children, Ron Jr., (10), a set of quadruplets, Madison, Bryson, Josiah and Nyla (5). Not only does my Husband love me, he also adores our children and is willing to do anything to support our family. On this day, Father's Day, we are not together (physically) as a family to celebrate this day with Dad. Ron is 250 miles away living part-time and working full-time in another city to support our family. We talk to Dad everyday via phone, text and emails, but its not the same as having him here with us to be able to hug and kiss him at any given moment. The Kids and I appreciate everything that Ron has done for us and given us. It is because of Ron that I have been able to be a Stay-at-home-Mom to our kids. Ron knows that this was very important to me and he has afforded me to have been able to do this now for the last 6 years.

I just wanted to share and express with You how much I love and appreciate the most wonderful, sweetest, kindest Man in the world...and he's all Ours. Happy Father's Day, Babe. Thank you for being the best Husband, Father, Provider and Friend that you know how to be. We love you and we miss you.

Love,

Your Wife and Kids

hugs and kisses

Supplies Used

Cardstock: Marina Mist*, Early Espresso* and Very Vanilla

Stamps: Circle Circus (115778), Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370)

Ink: Early Espresso*, Marina Mist* and Cajun Craze*

Accessories: 3/4", 1', 1 1/4 Circle punches, Scallop Circle Punch (119854), Modern Lable Punch (119849), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

Items marked "*" are available for purchase here beginning July 1, 2010
Mommie2Quadshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06296563551307680329noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-149137490209342583.post-8557154914414366692010-06-19T16:28:00.008-05:002010-06-19T17:24:06.926-05:00Time to Party

Hi Stampers,

I wanted to share a Birthday Card with you that I CASED from the upcoming 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Catalog (which, by the way, will go live on July 1, 2010). This card features the birthday party hats stamp from the Party Hearty stamp set.

I used the party hat stamp to create the banner. I inked the stamp in various Stampin' Up! Classic inks then trimmed the hats to look like pennants. I then attached a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock to hang my pennant.

I used various Stampin' Write markers to ink up only the portion of the sentiment that I needed and on the candles.

I added decorative touches on the card using the Scallop Square punch, Scallop Edge Border punch a 1" punch and some satin ribbon. Also on the card (you may not be able to see it in the picture) is my version of a "glitter mist" using a small spray bottle, rubbing alcohol and Shimmer Paint in Champagne Mist. I hope you like the card, comments and questions are always welcomed. Have a Stampin' good day!

Stamps: Party Hearty 111532

Punches: Scallop Edge Border (119882), Scallop Square (119884)

Cardstock: Real Red, Pacific Point**, Chocolate Chip

Classic Inks: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight**CertainlyCelery, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip

Stampin' Write Marker: Certainly Celery, Pumpin Pie, Daffodil Delight**

Items marked ** will be available for purchase beginning July 1st, 2010

Mommie2Quadshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06296563551307680329noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-149137490209342583.post-31167147355452983822010-05-04T11:06:00.004-05:002010-05-04T11:12:58.016-05:00Progressive Scrapbooking Page

Here is a Progressive Scrapbook Page that I created in honor of National Scrapbooking Day (May 1, 2010). I've also included instructions and a list of the materials used to create this page. All materials are from Stampin' Up! and most can be found in the new Summer Mini Catalog.

This Progressive Scrapbooking tutorial I adapted from Stampin’ Up! Million Dollar Demonstrator, Mary Polcin. The Progressive Scrapbook page starts from creating a 6 x 6 scrapbook page and then “progress” or build up to the next size page of 8.5 x 11 and then finally a 12 x12.
SUPPLIES USED:
1 – 12x12 Tempting Turquoise cardstock Builder Wheels
1 – 12x12 Whisper White cardstock Candle Crazy
1 – 8.5 x 11 So Saffron cardstock Birthday
1 – 8.5 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock So Many Stars
1 – 8.5 x 11 Whisper White cardstock 1 ¾” and ¾” Circle Punches
Cardstock scraps of Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White
Island Oasis Designer Series Paper Round Tab Punch
ReInkers Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive
Old Olive 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon Top Note Die
Old Olive ¼” Grosgrain Ribbon Pennant Die XL
Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise Ink Pads Party Hearty Stamp Set

Take the 8.5 x 11 Whisper White cardstock and cut (1) 5 ¾” square and (2) 3 ¾” squares in Paper Trimmer.

Take the 8.5 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock and cut (1) 6 x 6 square and (2) 4” squares in Paper Trimmer.

Layer the Whisper White onto the Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

Cut the stripe DSP of the Island Oasis paper to 2 x 6 and apply the 5/8” Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, make a bow and attach a button with mini glue dots. Thread on button was a sliver of So Saffron cs.

When layering the 6 x 6 page onto the So Saffron 8.5 x 11 cs only apply adhesive on the left, right and bottom of the page so that a “pocket” is created at the top of the page. Use the Top Note Die to create journaling tags and to attach additional photos, also used the round tab punch and ¼” Old Olive grosgrain ribbon on the ends of the Top Note die .

The scallop circle is created by using the Pennant XL Die, there are 4 scallop circles on this die and I used the scallop that did not have the score lines. Stamp “celebrate you” from the Party Hearty set onto Whisper White cs, punch out with 1 ¾” circle punch, stamp gift box, punch out with ¾” circle punch and all pieces are layered using dimensional.

The page title was created using the new builder wheels in the Summer Mini catalog. All three were rolled out together on the 12 x 12 Whisper White cs and then the “Happy Birthday” wheel was used alone with Old Olive ink, trimmed out and applied using dimensionals.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Earleen McDaniel
Mommie2Quadshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06296563551307680329noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-149137490209342583.post-68336585306875275972010-02-08T14:44:00.010-06:002010-02-08T15:48:07.223-06:00I love you....with all my heart

Hi stampers,

I know its been awhile since I posted anything, but I have been busy stamping. This first card is clean, simple and I thought very pretty. The card measures 4.25 X 5.5 and there's a fair amount of embossing involved. Organza Ribbon (#114319) in Whisper White. I also used the Stampin' Around Wheel Guide (#104834) because I used the Bella's Border Stampin' Wheel on the diagonal. Last but not least, I used a corner rounder on the bottom corners of the card (#109047).

I hope you enjoy the card, let me know your thoughts on the card and I hope it inspires you to do some stamping. I have been seeing a lot of Christmas cards poping up on several blogs and websites (SCS) so I thought I would join in on the fun and create a card myself. For this card I wanted to jazz up the top layer (Old Olive) and use the exclusive Sizzix Texturz Plate that you can only obtain from a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator (that would be me) instead of using christmas DSP. To achieve the bold embossed textured look I simply lightly sprayed rubbing alcohol on the cardstock and used another piece of cardstock as a "shim" in the sandwich stack used with the BigShot. The "shim" and light spray of rubbing alcohol helped me to have a deeper impression of the Texturz plate. The stamp sets used are new this year to the 2009-2010 IB&C, they are Tree Trimmings and Teeny Tiny Wishes. I also used some Sizzix dies that are also exclusive to Stampin' Up!, the Top Note Bigz Die and Birds and Blooms Sizzlits. If you would like to recreate this card, contact me today and let's schedule a Workshop for a Demonstration. Thanks for stopping by, have a Stampin' Good Day!!Mommie2Quadshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06296563551307680329noreply@blogger.com1
