Wow, two post in one day...I'm on a roll.

Here's another Anniversary Card. Pssst, by the way, I'm sending both cards to my good Friend in Tulsa, OK. He and his Girlfriend are celebrating their one year anniversary and I was more than happy to make some cards for him to celebrate the special occassion. Shhhh...mums the word. Once again all supplies used are all from Stampin' Up!.

Taking a Break from Christmas Cards

Yes, I know its been a while since I last posted anything and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I have 5 kids and now I'm a single parent. No, I'm not divorced or separated, but my Husband's employer has transferred him to Kansas City, MO, so I'm home taking care of home and Quads + 1 all by my lonesome.

Any who, let's get to the cards, shall we? This first card is clean, simple and I thought very pretty. The card measures 4.25 X 5.5 and there's a fair amount of embossing involved. All supplies used are from Stampin' Up! and is available for purchase here. Here's the supply list.
Supplies Used all Stampin' Up! :
Whisper White card stock, Elegant Eggplant card stock, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for sentiment (#115370), Bella's Border Stampin' Wheel (112476) for the embossed image, Stampin' Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder, White Embossing powder and my favorite, Stampin' Up! Organza Ribbon (#114319) in Whisper White. I also used the Stampin' Around Wheel Guide (#104834) because I used the Bella's Border Stampin' Wheel on the diagonal. Last but not least, I used a corner rounder on the bottom corners of the card (#109047).
I hope you enjoy the card, let me know your thoughts on the card and I hope it inspires you to do some stamping. Have a stampin' good day.

Merry Christmas...In July

Two post in one day, I think I'm breaking a record!! I have been seeing a lot of Christmas cards poping up on several blogs and websites (SCS) so I thought I would join in on the fun and create a card myself. For this card I wanted to jazz up the top layer (Old Olive) and use the exclusive Sizzix Texturz Plate that you can only obtain from a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator (that would be me) instead of using christmas DSP. To achieve the bold embossed textured look I simply lightly sprayed rubbing alcohol on the cardstock and used another piece of cardstock as a "shim" in the sandwich stack used with the BigShot. The "shim" and light spray of rubbing alcohol helped me to have a deeper impression of the Texturz plate. The stamp sets used are new this year to the 2009-2010 IB&C, they are Tree Trimmings and Teeny Tiny Wishes. I also used some Sizzix dies that are also exclusive to Stampin' Up!, the Top Note Bigz Die and Birds and Blooms Sizzlits. If you would like to recreate this card, contact me today and let's schedule a Workshop for a Demonstration. Thanks for stopping by, have a Stampin' Good Day!!
