Happy Birthday, Little Girl!!!

Hi Stampers,

Have you seen the latest PaperCrafts Card Style 2010 Special Issue? Well if not, you are missing a lot. In fact, when I saw the magazine cover I immediately knew I had caught a "CASE". I absolutely love this card!!!! Of course, all items used are Stampin' Up! and one of the stamp sets used is actually a Level 3 Hostess set, Playful Pieces.

The banner on the card was created using the Playful Pieces stamp set by stamping the triangle shape in the same color ink as the cardstock and cut out using paper snips. The shapes were then attached to the hemp twine with mini glue dots. The large scallop circle is from the Pennant Die (113483). I created the "happy birthday" tag by centering the point of the 1 1/4" square punch in the center of the cardstock to create the "v" on the end.

Let me know if you have any questions and as always, thanks for stopping by and have a Stampin' Good Day!!

Happy Father's Day, Ron

Hi Stampers,

I hope everyone is enjoying time spent with their Loved Ones on this special day, Father's Day! Before I go any further, I want to dedicate today's post to my Loving Husband, Ron.

Ron is my High School Sweetheart. We dated for 10 years prior to getting married and he made me the happiest woman in the world the day we married. We have been happily married now for 13 years. Don't get me wrong, not all of those 13 years have been blissful, I mean, what relationship doesn't have its ups and downs. But throughout all of the years that we have been together the one thing in our relationship that has been a constant is, He Loves Me, He Cherishes Me and He always has my Best Interest in his heart.

We have 5 wonderful children, Ron Jr., (10), a set of quadruplets, Madison, Bryson, Josiah and Nyla (5). Not only does my Husband love me, he also adores our children and is willing to do anything to support our family. On this day, Father's Day, we are not together (physically) as a family to celebrate this day with Dad. Ron is 250 miles away living part-time and working full-time in another city to support our family. We talk to Dad everyday via phone, text and emails, but its not the same as having him here with us to be able to hug and kiss him at any given moment. The Kids and I appreciate everything that Ron has done for us and given us. It is because of Ron that I have been able to be a Stay-at-home-Mom to our kids. Ron knows that this was very important to me and he has afforded me to have been able to do this now for the last 6 years.

I just wanted to share and express with You how much I love and appreciate the most wonderful, sweetest, kindest Man in the world...and he's all Ours. Happy Father's Day, Babe. Thank you for being the best Husband, Father, Provider and Friend that you know how to be. We love you and we miss you.

Love,

Your Wife and Kids

Time to Party

Hi Stampers,

I wanted to share a Birthday Card with you that I CASED from the upcoming 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Catalog (which, by the way, will go live on July 1, 2010). This card features the birthday party hats stamp from the Party Hearty stamp set.

I used the party hat stamp to create the banner. I inked the stamp in various Stampin' Up! Classic inks then trimmed the hats to look like pennants. I then attached a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock to hang my pennant.

I used various Stampin' Write markers to ink up only the portion of the sentiment that I needed and on the candles.

I added decorative touches on the card using the Scallop Square punch, Scallop Edge Border punch a 1" punch and some satin ribbon. Also on the card (you may not be able to see it in the picture) is my version of a "glitter mist" using a small spray bottle, rubbing alcohol and Shimmer Paint in Champagne Mist. I hope you like the card, comments and questions are always welcomed. Have a Stampin' good day!

Progressive Scrapbooking Page

Here is a Progressive Scrapbook Page that I created in honor of National Scrapbooking Day (May 1, 2010). I've also included instructions and a list of the materials used to create this page. All materials are from Stampin' Up! and most can be found in the new Summer Mini Catalog.
This Progressive Scrapbooking tutorial I adapted from Stampin’ Up! Million Dollar Demonstrator, Mary Polcin. The Progressive Scrapbook page starts from creating a 6 x 6 scrapbook page and then “progress” or build up to the next size page of 8.5 x 11 and then finally a 12 x12.
SUPPLIES USED:
1 – 12x12 Tempting Turquoise cardstock Builder Wheels
1 – 12x12 Whisper White cardstock Candle Crazy
1 – 8.5 x 11 So Saffron cardstock Birthday
1 – 8.5 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock So Many Stars
1 – 8.5 x 11 Whisper White cardstock 1 ¾” and ¾” Circle Punches
Cardstock scraps of Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White
Island Oasis Designer Series Paper Round Tab Punch
ReInkers Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive
Old Olive 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon Top Note Die
Old Olive ¼” Grosgrain Ribbon Pennant Die XL
Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise Ink Pads Party Hearty Stamp Set

Take the 8.5 x 11 Whisper White cardstock and cut (1) 5 ¾” square and (2) 3 ¾” squares in Paper Trimmer.

Take the 8.5 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock and cut (1) 6 x 6 square and (2) 4” squares in Paper Trimmer.

Layer the Whisper White onto the Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

Cut the stripe DSP of the Island Oasis paper to 2 x 6 and apply the 5/8” Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, make a bow and attach a button with mini glue dots. Thread on button was a sliver of So Saffron cs.

When layering the 6 x 6 page onto the So Saffron 8.5 x 11 cs only apply adhesive on the left, right and bottom of the page so that a “pocket” is created at the top of the page. Use the Top Note Die to create journaling tags and to attach additional photos, also used the round tab punch and ¼” Old Olive grosgrain ribbon on the ends of the Top Note die .

The scallop circle is created by using the Pennant XL Die, there are 4 scallop circles on this die and I used the scallop that did not have the score lines. Stamp “celebrate you” from the Party Hearty set onto Whisper White cs, punch out with 1 ¾” circle punch, stamp gift box, punch out with ¾” circle punch and all pieces are layered using dimensional.

The page title was created using the new builder wheels in the Summer Mini catalog. All three were rolled out together on the 12 x 12 Whisper White cs and then the “Happy Birthday” wheel was used alone with Old Olive ink, trimmed out and applied using dimensionals.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Taking a Break from Christmas Cards

Yes, I know its been a while since I last posted anything and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I have 5 kids and now I'm a single parent. No, I'm not divorced or separated, but my Husband's employer has transferred him to Kansas City, MO, so I'm home taking care of home and Quads + 1 all by my lonesome.

Any who, let's get to the cards, shall we? This first card is clean, simple and I thought very pretty. The card measures 4.25 X 5.5 and there's a fair amount of embossing involved. All supplies used are from Stampin' Up! and is available for purchase here. Here's the supply list.
Supplies Used all Stampin' Up! :
Whisper White card stock, Elegant Eggplant card stock, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for sentiment (#115370), Bella's Border Stampin' Wheel (112476) for the embossed image, Stampin' Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder, White Embossing powder and my favorite, Stampin' Up! Organza Ribbon (#114319) in Whisper White. I also used the Stampin' Around Wheel Guide (#104834) because I used the Bella's Border Stampin' Wheel on the diagonal. Last but not least, I used a corner rounder on the bottom corners of the card (#109047).
I hope you enjoy the card, let me know your thoughts on the card and I hope it inspires you to do some stamping. Have a stampin' good day.
