Birthday Up in the Clouds

Hi Stampers,

Okay, I promise this is my last Birthday card of the day. I can't help myself, I love to make Birthday Cards and the smiles on the recipient's face is priceless. This card was inspired by Andrea Walford. I changed the colors used and the stamp sets used. I made the clouds by using a cloud template provided for free by a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Lianne Carper, you can obtain the template here. I used an inexpensive transparency sheet purchased from my local office supply store, traced the clouds using a permanent marker, cut out the cloud shapes with my paper snips, adhered the clouds to my Whisper White cardstock using temporary adhesive and sponged the Tempting Turquoise ink over the transparency cloud shapes.

For the balloons, I stamped the balloon image from the stamp set Crazy for Cupcakes in Basic Black Ink and then covered the balloon image leaving only the balloon string. I stamped the balloon image from the stamp set Party This Way in Versamark Ink on Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Delightful Daffodil cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then used my paper snips to cut out the images and used double stacked Dimensionals to "pop" the balloons off the card. I used the birthday sentiment from the same stamp set.

If you like the card shown here and would like to Host a Workshop where you and your guests can make this card, please contact me here. Please feel free to post a comment or your questions. Thanks for stopping by, have a Stampin' Good Day!
